Quick Actions

Buttons with ready-made prompts: sets, action settings, shortcuts

Quick actions are the buttons above the input field in the meeting panel. Each one sends the assistant a prompt you wrote in advance, optionally with a fresh screenshot, and each has its own shortcut.

Set them up in the Quick Actions section of the left menu.

Sets

Actions are grouped into sets. You might keep one set for live coding and another for the HR round. The overlay buttons and shortcuts come from the active set, and you can switch sets mid-meeting with the icon to the left of the buttons in the overlay.

For a ready-made set for your stack, open Choose a preset. You can add it as a new set or replace an existing one with it. Preset actions answer with whatever model and reasoning level are selected in the chat.

Sync and sharing

Sets are stored in your account: an edit on one computer shows up on the other one and in the web version. Each computer keeps its own shortcuts.

Share on a set gives you a link and a short code. Anyone can view the set from the link, and adding it to their own sets requires signing in. The recipient gets a copy, so your later edits don't change it. New recipients of the same link see the current version. You can revoke the link, and deleting the set disables it too.

Import by code accepts either the code or the link. If an action in someone else's set used a model from the author's own provider, it answers with your chat model instead.

Action settings

SettingWhat it affects
MessageThe prompt text. It goes to the current subchat as a regular message, so the assistant sees the conversation transcript, the subchat history and the active context.
Use notesTurn it off and the action answers without searching your notes, even when notes search is on in the chat.
Include ScreenshotWhen you press the action, the app takes a screenshot and attaches it to the request.
Screenshot Type"Full Screen" captures the whole screen right away. With "Selected Area" you select part of the screen first, and the request goes out after that.
ScreenshotsIn "Quality" mode the model gets the original image. In "Speed" mode OCR reads the image and the model only gets the text. That's faster, but the model won't see diagrams or UI. The Auto model and models without image support always get the recognized text.
AI ModelBy default, the model selected in the chat answers. You can pin a different one to the action, say a fast model for "What to Say" and a strong one for live coding.
Reasoning levelAppears when the action has its own model and that model supports reasoning. Higher levels give more accurate answers on hard tasks, and you wait longer for them. Without its own model, the action uses the level from the chat settings.

Shortcuts

Default shortcuts depend on the action's position in the set:

PositionWindowsmacOS
1-5Ctrl + 1 … Ctrl + 5Cmd + 1 … Cmd + 5
6-10Ctrl + Shift + 1 … Ctrl + Shift + 5Cmd + Shift + 1 … Cmd + Shift + 5

You can change a shortcut, give an action several combinations, or bind it to the middle or a side mouse button. Shortcuts also fire when the window is hidden with Ctrl/Cmd + B.

What happens when you press it

  • First, the app flushes the unfinished part of the realtime transcript into the chat, so the interviewer's last phrase ends up in the request.
  • Screenshots already attached to the input field go out with the action. Text you typed in the input field is cleared and not sent.
  • Web search follows the chat toggle.
  • If the assistant is still printing the previous answer, the chat setting "Cancel generation when resending a message" decides what happens. With it on, the new request replaces the answer. With it off, the press is ignored.

You can hide the buttons above the input field in Settings → Windows and panels → Meeting Panel. The shortcuts keep working.

Triggering from a phone or second screen

Open the same meeting in the sobes.tech web version: the same sets are there. While the desktop app is running in the meeting, pressing an action runs it on the computer: the screenshot comes from the computer's screen, and the answer appears in both windows. The web version has no shortcuts.
