Status HUD
Which hidden Copilot features are on right now
The HUD is a small window in the corner of your main monitor. It shows which hidden features are currently on, so you don't have to guess why clicks pass through the window or whether the interviewer can see the overlay.
| Indicator | When it's shown |
|---|---|
| Screen-share protection off | Screen recording protection is off: Copilot windows are visible in screen sharing and recordings. Shown in red. |
| Context | The name of the active context Copilot answers with. Shown only while screen recording protection is on. |
| Click-through | Clicks pass through the meeting window (Ctrl/Cmd + W). |
| Teleprompter: click-through | Clicks pass through the teleprompter window (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + W). |
| Virtual cursor | The virtual cursor is on. |
| Cursor protection | Cursor protection is on. |
Each indicator shows the shortcut that toggles its feature.
The HUD appears when a meeting opens and stays on screen even if the meeting window is hidden with Ctrl/Cmd + B. When the meeting closes, the HUD disappears. It doesn't intercept clicks or take focus.
The HUD is hidden from screen capture only while screen recording protection is on in Settings → Application → System. If you turn protection off, the interviewer will see the HUD in your screen share, red indicator included.
Settings
Settings → Windows and panels → Status HUD.
The "Layout" tab sets a corner or the center of the top or bottom edge of your main monitor, a column or a row, and offsets from the edges. "Appearance" and "Text" change colors, contrast for a dark or light background, background opacity, label style and whether shortcuts are shown. On the "Indicators" tab you pick which indicators to show, and "Show HUD" hides it entirely.
Turning off an indicator or hiding the HUD doesn't turn off the feature itself; only the hint disappears.
